Elsie Evangeline Shafer was born 24 Nov 1905 in Benton County, Iowa, USA.  She was the daughter of Elmer Elsworth Shafer and Anna Mabel Backer.   She died 19 Mar 1999 in Grinnell, Poweshiek County, Iowa, USA.

They married 08 Mar 1927 in Benton County, Iowa, USA.  They had two children:

Shirley Jean Moore (29 Feb 1928, Benton County, Iowa, USA)
Robert Leslie Moore (02 Sep 1931, Benton County, Iowa, USA)
