Notes:  This lens is marked Darlot and is a single achromat, but does not seem to be advertised in any of the catalogs herein.  This is a typical single achromat, where the largest  aperture useful for photography is considerably smaller than the diameter of the glass, as the fixed aperture visible in the straight-on photograph shows.  Smaller apertures can be selected via a rotating wheel.  It is presumed that the example above in which the lens hood is a separate piece is the earlier form of the lens.
