Notes:  This shutter, formerly described as unknown on this page, has been identified as a Hopkins Shutter, which was patented by L. Prosch in 1891, and subsequently marketed by C. E. Hopkins as The Pneumo Shutter.  It is also marketed as The Compactum Shutter.  The two examples above have their pneumatic tube (to which to attach the bulb and hose) on the different and opposite sides of the shutter.  The upper example matches the layout of the patent drawing below.
