The American Annual of Photography and Photographic Times Almanac for 1902, The Scovill & Adams Co. (New York, NY), copyright 1902, ~6"x9", 347pp & 74pp ads

In this, the last annual before the merger of The Scovill & Adams Co. and E. & H. T. Anthony & Co., shows the changes in the industry that were taking place.  The flexible film that catapulted the Eastman Kodak Co. into the forefront of photographic companies made glass plates obsolete.  Likewise, the introduction of enlargement made obsolete the large view cameras the comprised most of Anthony's and Scovill's camera models.  Still, amateur plate photography was popular enough that hotels provided darkrooms for guests (see page 346).  This one has a red cover, rather than the green cover of the Photographic Series, e.g., 1899.
