Lenses and Apparatus, Photographic Supplies of Every Description Catalogue No. 16, Ralph J. Golsen (72-74 Wabash Ave., Chicago, IL), undated c.1908, ~7¾x10¾", 274pp
This Ralph J. Golsen catalog is large in both dimensions (~7¾x10¾") and number of pages (274). The ~120pp shown below cover the lenses, cameras and some accessories.
Chicago area photographic supply
houses, including Golsen, tended to purchase cameras from manufacturers,
and then re-sell them using a model name of their own. In this
case, two view cameras are so named:
1) The R.J.G. Long Focus View Camera
(p. 61) is identical to the
Imperial View Camera sold
by the Imperial Camera Co. of LaCrosse, WI.
2) The "R.J.G. Junior" View Camera (p. 62) appears to be the
E. &
H.T. Anthony & Co. (New York, NY) Champion Variation 4.
The catalog also contains eight other view cameras from four other camera manufacturers of the day, but under their own model names (pp. 62-65).
