1910, 1911, 1912 and 1913 Premo Cameras catalogs, this camera is
called
Empire State No. 2.
Then, in the
1914 catalog, its name is changed to Eastman View No. 2.
By 1923, the Eastman View No.
2 has been replaced by the
Eastman View No.
2d.
There is an
Eastman View No. 1, but as a rather strange difference, the bed
in the No. 1 is made rigid via a thumbscrew, whereas in the
No. 2 it is the EKC quick-connect; one would think that production
costs would be served by having all the connectors the same, but perhaps
the quick-connect is one of the features for which one would pay more
for the No. 2.
