Kodak produced a variety of home portrait outfits, as the No. 3
in this name would indicate. Presumably the No. 1 would be the one
Eastman
Home Portrait Outfit shown in the Eastman professional catalog
c. 1911. None of the Eastman home portrait cameras are related in
detail with either the
F&S Home
Portrait No. 1 or
F&S Home
Portrait No. 2, also made by Eastman Kodak. This No. 3
model looks very much like the contemporaneous
Eastman View
Camera 2d, but with a larger lens board (and correspondingly
larger bellows that does not taper as much), to allow for mounting
larger, portrait-like lenses.
