Blair Camera Co.

Unknown View #3 (Rear Focus)

8 x 10" Format, Single Swing Configuration.  This camera is missing its back.

6½x8½" Format, Double Swing Configuration

Date Introduced: - ; Years Manufactured: c. 1885
Construction: rear focus via push-pull; double swing; reversing by removable back; three piece lens board
Materials: mahogany body; cherry base; black fabric bellows; brass hardware
Sizes Offered: at least 6½x8½
Notes: This camera is a back focus frame camera similar to the ROC Favorite or Gennert Nancy Hanks.  The camera is not marked, but came with three Blair plateholders (and fits them).  The curvature on the rear base is reminiscent of Gennert cameras, but the large springs on the back, grooved base, plate-holders, and the three adjustment knobs are either Blair-manufactured or, at the very least, reminiscent of Blair parts as seen on other cameras that are identified as Blair by their labels.
