Descriptive Catalogue

E. & H.T.
Anthony & Co., New York, NY
Dated on Title Page: November, 1893
.pdf version
This catalog has lost its
covers, as well as page 002. This catalog can be considered still in the
heyday of amateur wooden view cameras, but within a few years, Kodak's flexible
roll film would take over. By 1900, the two titans of the wooden view
camera, E. & H. T. Anthony & Co. and The Scovill & Adams Co. (successors of
Scovill Mfg. Co.) would merge in an effort to survive. They became Anthony
& Scovill, then Ansco, surviving until the 1930's, eventually bought by the
German industrial giant Agfa.
