Photography has Made the Sun an Artist
This is another large Andrew. J. Lloyd catalog, second only to the 400 page 1901 Photographic Encylopedia. Lloyd catalogs displayed on this web site are ones from 1897, c.1898, 1899 (here), 1901, and 1909, and make an impressive coverage, if I do say so myself. Despite this catalog's 288 pages plus 7 extra pages inserted throughout and 4 discount pages, I scanned the entire thing (whew), whereas the other catalogs usually only show the camera and lens pages. I wouldn't download the 104mb pdf from the link above unless you have a lot of time on your hands. The reason this is a large catalog is that it contains the lines not just of Rochester Optical Co., but also lines of the other 4 companies that had just merged with Rochester Optical to form Rochester Optical & Camera Co., that is: Rochester Camera & Supply Co., Western Camera Mfg. Co., Monroe Camera Co. and Ray Camera Co. In this catalog, their lines are still listed under their separate names, but since all of these are included, the merger must have already been completed or close to being completed.
