Long Focus Premo Variation 1 - c.1895-1900

Long Focus Premo Variation 1: Catalogue of Photographic Apparatus, Rochester Optical Co., 1895, p.31

4 x 5, almost as above, except for rear right side strut.

Brass plaque on front standard.

Serial No. 59184

Notes:

Long Focus Premo Variation 1 has a telescoping bed and focusing only at the front.

Long Focus Premo Variation 2 has a telescoping bed and focusing both at the front and back.

Long Focus Premo Variation 3 has an elaborate rear standard support.  This configuration was advertised for five years, and yet is seemingly the rarest of the Long Focus Premo variatations.  Perhaps it was designed and offered after the heyday of these large and expensive view cameras in a box.
